Block Heater Not Working

My block heater doesn't seem to be working on my 05'. I started plugging it in earlier this month when it got into the mid 20's outside but noticed the needle hasnt moved on either my dash engine temp or my aftermarket ISSPro gauge. It starts fine but I can tell by the cold start engine noise that I'm not getting the heat I produced last winter by leaving it plugged in for 2-4 hours. I followed the cord from the plug to where it enters the engine compartment through the passenger side wheel well and it seems to be intact. I've checked for a fuse in my manual but nothing says engine block heater. Other than following the rest of the cord to the engine block, is there something else I should be checking?

How about checking the outlet you are plugging into.. Maybe the fuse tripped..

Also check the extension cord..

Try cleaning the heater plug maybe it it dirty..

I don't know about your commercial gauge, but mine doesn't heat it up to the point you see it on the gauge. I don't think it is supposed to do that. That block heater will keep things warm enough to function on startup but it is not going to keep it at operating temperature. Could you see the difference on your gauge last year when it worked?
