Axle removal

Couldn't find ann answer in my searchs, how do you seperate the joint inbetween the two u-joints on the passenger side of a "DANA 44" IFS? My chiltons says remove ketstone clamps and discard, ok I did this, now what?

The axle shafts should just slide apart, they are splined underneath the boot... they simply pull out like any other 4x4 front axleshaft would.
