Torker Intake

What are your thoughts on the Edelbrock Torker intake for the FE? I got one and was thinking of putting on my 390GT in my mustang. Its definitely lighter than the stock 4v intake which is a plus. I believe its a single plane. I am just curious if its worth using, like what are the advantages?

Thanks
Jason

The GT motor will probably not really make the most of that intake.

An single plane intake is made for engines operating at higher RPM ranges, won't get any power gains till about 2500 RPM and up. If my feeble memory is correct, I believe Edelbrock rates them for 3000 - 8000 RPM..... Probably not the normal operating range for a street engine.... About the only gain you would get would be weight reduction......

A dual plane intake such as the Edelbrock Performer or Performer RPM is a much better intake for the street.

persolally, i like the F-427 intake.

but they have not been made for years, and are getting few and far between.
