I posted this in the SD forum but didn't get a reply. Maybe because I'm dumb and don't see it anywhere.
The axel code on my Vehicle Certification Label is blank. Anyone have any idea why? I know I can get the gears of the metal tab on the rear diff but I still don't know why the there is no axel code on the label. Anyone seen this before?
I've seen it a lot with Excursions. Maybe back in 2000 they had a new guy who didn't program the printer correctly. This is the first I've heard about a SD not having the code there.
Strange. I replaced the rear diff oil a few months ago and didn't think about getting the code off the tag. Need to change the front diff and transfer case so when I'm under there I'll see what gears this things has from the tag just to satisfy my own curiosity.
Anyone else have a F250/350 and missing the axle code?
Just contact Ford and get a build sheet. Just got mine a few weeks ago. Didn't cost a thing, and they got it to me in just a few days. The only thing I was really looking for was the axle info, as mine is blank as well, and there are no tags on the axle itself. Just e-mail crcfmc@ford.com, and tell them that you want a build sheet for your truck. They need the following info to process:
Name
Address
City
State
Zip code
Daytime phone#
Home phone#
VIN #
