I checked the tech folder and did a search but came up empty. I have a 2004 F-250 V-10/3.73 limited slip/4x4/Automatic. What is the max rating for 5th wheel/gooseneck towing? The 5th wheel I currently own is 9800 lbs. and my truck pulls it like it's not even there.
Keep in mind those are MAX 5th wheel weights. To determine your actual capacity you would have to take the weight of your truck (loaded for travel) and subtract that from the GCWR of the truck which is 17,000 lbs in your case.
My guess is you are probably pretty close to GCWR with your set-up.
