Shouldn't make any difference. It was assembled that way and it's not much different then any other work you do where you have to move items out of the way. They do the same to my 5.4 if they have to dig deep.

Wouldn't bother me one bit. pulling the body/cab off a full frame vehicle is a no brainer. It's easier to get an LS1 out of a Camaro/firebird by taking the front suspension/K Member with it and dropping it down from the bottom of the car than it is to go through the hood.
It's easier for me to pull the engine on my mustang to do any major work than to bed over the fenders and try to get to things. Often it is a lot more convenient to remove items to get what you need out in the open.
