1960 one piece window kit

I have installed a one piece window kit in my 1960 f100. It has eliminated the vent window. The window channel felt looks like it is in the way of mounting the door mirror. has anyone had this problem? If so what was the fix so I can run the stock type mirrors.

The original outside mirrors, (there were several types and all were optional), were mounted into the slots in the doors. Two bolts held them on.

What does that have to do with the window channels?

With this kit, you have to remove the inside mirror mounting nut and remoe some of the metal in the front of the door so that the new window channel has a straight shot from the front of the door down. When you sight down into the stock mirror hole, the new window channel blocks a small portion of where the stock mirror would slide into.

The channel sits at the spot where the outermost mounting nut is welded onto the door. Your instructions should have said to drill the outer "nut" with a 1/2" drill and then knock it off with hammer and drift. These are not needed as the replacement mirrors are now threaded. Does your window close with ease ?? I would think the welded nut is in the way thereby pushing the channel out a bit. PICS????
