What is it?
Does anyone know what that component is in the picture below that is sitting atop the HVAC box, and has approx 3 wires coming out of it? My truck has the component, but no wires or plug to plug it in. deanzawistowski, I hope it's alright, I am using your picture.

It's a barometric pressure sensor that is used by the transmission electronic control assembly to determine shift points at hight altitude on trucks with E4OD transmissions. It is not used on trucks with C6's or manual trannies. Jim

Ok. So that means my truck came with an E4OD from the factory and someone swapped it out for a c6, or some assembly line worker installed it by mistake in my truck? The door sticker has a "K" for the tranny code, but non of the online decoders list a K.
Well, in this particular article, code K is a c6. So I might have extra factory parts I don't need. Interesting.
