ok, so lately ive been reading about this auto rx stuff, went to their page and all i can say is wow, looks to be good stuff. Now to my question. I bought my truck last november with 37k on it. When i got it a switched it over to amsoil and have been using it ever since. I now have 60k on it and it runs great. I was just wondering if its a good idea to try this product, or if anyone else has used it in a 5.4 before.
haven't heard of it, but with as few miles as you have, you won't see much or any difference for many many more miles! The PO of my truck used motorcraft synblend 5w30 in my 5.4 and i bought it with 200,000 and it still purrs like new!
I use their fuel additive in the 5.4L and I run the fuel and oil stuff in my 4.6L. I don't use the oil stuff in the 5.4L because I have owned it since 30K miles and always changed the oil at around 4K miles. The 4.6L on the other hand had around 130K miles on it when I bought it and had leaky valve stem seals. Not sure how much it has helped as of yet, it takes many thousands of miles to do all the changes to get the oil additive to work and I am not there yet. I'll say this, it won't hurt anything, if you have the money give it a try.
its less than 20 bucks i thought i saw
idk, sometimes my dads f-150 and mine will puff out a little puff of blue smoke on startup...so thought id try it
your truck "puffs" blue smoke? i havent seen anything but a chevy ever do that with that few of miles. my truck doesn't blow any smoke white or blue with 225,000 on 'er, period.
