big old puddle
it was just lovely to wake up christmas morning and find a huge puddle of texas gold or (diesel fuel) under the truck in the am after filling the truck the night before. the day before the the power steering line blew guess it was rubbing on the box too much. But, anyway anybody got their front tank leaking at the front? Could it possibly be the sending unit o-ring or am i looking at buying a new fuel tank? The leak just started because I just welded a broken exhaust hanger christmas eve. next to the tank and i know I did burn the tank if thats what your thinking! I wasn ' t that close. At $3.50 gal. that isn ' t something i want to be waisting i ' d rather burn it in traffic than leak it out. Now what is the easiest thing to check with out pulling the tank down it has never been down! I was told to take the bed off is this right? Thats never been off either. i was hoping it was just a vent tube. its not a very fast leak though. once the tank is down to about 3/4 from full the leak stops.

mine is steel i have used jb weld in the past. note to self even in a pinch don ' t try on ps lines it don ' t last more than 30 mins! Does anybody know how to get diesel off blacktop other than kitty litter i still have a huge mess my land lord is going to kill me!!!!!
