price on Shocks

price on Shocks

I called a company who replaces shocks and springs to see how much they would charge me for replacing the shocks on my 02 f250 7.3L. Im not mech inclined and they quoted me $275.00 for all four shocks and labor. is this a good deal. I have 135,000 miles on the truck and have never replaced the shocks.

Depending on your area it could be a good price.

Labour rate is a determining factor.
Quality of shock is another.

But the price does sound reasonible.

I think that's mostly labor and 4 cheap shocks. It's probably a fair price, though.

I took my truck into get the shocks replaced, they said they could lift the front on the truck 2 inchs to install gas shocks to the front because the front was heavy for this truck. What do you guys think? they are supposed to call me for the price to lift it.
