Carburator problem?

Hello all. I have a 1985 f-150 with the 300 CI six. I put a new carb on the truck and it runs great, idles nice and smooth but one problem. After running for about 5 or ten minutes the truck acts like it is running out of gas or running on 3 cyclinders. Do you think maybe a little dirt got into or is getting into the carb. I replaced one fuel filter and will do the other one tommorrow. The timing is good and I put new plugs in a couple months ago but will check them tommorrow too. What do you all think? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Thanks. Greg.

Carburator problem?

I had a base gasket on a carb give me grief similar to your problem on a 1967 240ci 6 cyl. Had a manual choke and was able to get it to run when choked. I would be sure that you have not warped the carb and it stays tight after warming up. You may have to replace the gasket.

Good Luck
Greg
