95, are those the hummer tires you are running.. i 2 have 16.5s and are fixing to get 16s i am just wondering if the military tires will kill my mpgs and if they are as loud as they look.
Yea they a pritty loud. I have heard worse tho. I have never been stuck tho. And the girls love them. Just any 33 and up will kill MPG. Ive been trying to get a set of 16's. I sold my stock ones caus I got an offer for them I couldnt refuse. Now I want them. Yes they are the hummer ones. I got for 275 shipped for 4 new from ebay. They have for like 400 now on there.
yep 400, plus 175 to ship to tx i guess i will be buying 16s. down here the rich boys change there tires out like wet socks, pretty well a dime a dozen for used 16 inch tires , now if i find a set of hummer tires localy, i 2 will have them. did u notice if they "flat spott" with them being bias or is that a myth??????????????and if they are a rough ride????
I dont really remember how it rode with the stocks vs the 36's. The truck isnt rough just bouncy. They are wearing even front and back. No flat spots yet. They hold up well 2 weight with 30 psi. Thats the MAX lol.
by flat spots i mean that in the morning does it sound like the tires are "egg" shape and sound funny until they warm up, or are they just normal. all the old timers say that bias tires arent "round" until they warm up. i know kinda sounds dumb but that is what old timers say. they beleive radials are a god send...
Sometimes if its real cold out. I mean like real real cold. But like today no it doesnt. I think like 30 and below it does. I know when it snows it doesnt. I keep my place well plowed. The bias is just the way the belts a setup. They do shift tho. Radials are the best. Bro had Dick Cepek FC-II's. They were quiet, wore like iron, and worked well in all stuff. I wheeled his jeep more then he did. He just didnt ever know about it. 88 YJ with 5 1/2 lift and 35's. He shouldnt have sold it. He got a Talon and I had to change head gasket on it. What a pos. He didnt want to change his time to look at car when I was free. So his gf's sisters bf came and he dont know anything about cars. He said it was good. Yea ok.
thanx for the info, but i am checking in for the day, hope theres a lot of snow for you this week. merry christmas. hope you get a lot of stuff for your truck for christmas have a GOOD ONE..............................
