Help on tranny problem
#1. My cousin's automatic transmission finally went out with 270xxx on his 300. He has another F 150 with a blown 302 but it has a rebuilt auto transmission. My question is are the transmissions from the 302 and the 300 the same? Can he just swap them out?
#2. He would really love to have a 4x4, and that's what the 302 is. Can he put the 300 into the 4x4 with the blown 302, or would it be too much work? By the way, both trucks are 1992's. I wouldn't think the computer's are the same and I'd imagine it would be a tough swap, but if I am wrong, please tell me.

not if all the stuff is there at the same time. pull the axles out roll them around and under the new truck. just take it to get aligned soon, i messed up a pair of 35s by thinking that it did not need it. but it will all bolt up no fabbing needed
