inertia switch

1988 Bronco II,2.9 FI,4spd auto,4X4....trying to change fuel filter(screw on canister type)and my haynes manual says to unplug the inertia switch and start the vehicle to bleed of fuel pressure and says its under the dash on the fire wall but shows no photo...I can`t find it.There are all sorts of little black boxs under there but none I can find that has a reset swirch...anyone know where it is?Any other way to let the pressure of?I tried taking out the fuel pump fuse but it still ran why? Thanks

ok bro..... the inertia switch is located beneath the carpet on the passenger side floorboard....just under the dash... peel back the carpet next to the kick plate, and you should see an orange and red wire bundle with a rocker /push type switch there.
