Truck has 155,000 on it. I have only owned it for a few months, but I have all the reciepts from the previous owner. 130,000 the clutch was replaced. Other than that, regular maintaince items.
231k miles on my 90. Tranny blew up at 186k miles. I had the clutch replaced while they were in there. The tech said it had about 25% of it's life left. I rebuilt the rearend last summer, but there wasn't anything wrong with it. I wanted to add a limited slip diff, and replaced everything else while I was there. Engine still pulls very well, but I know it's got some blowby. Other stuff I've chagned: water pump, alternator (5, Autozone's warranty rules), several sets of brakes, AC compressor and converted to 134a. That's all the major stuff that I can think of.
My engine/trans has 216,000 miles on it. Original clutch, oil pump, rear brake drums and heater core.
Here's what I have replaced, but I think it's reasonable since all of it occurred well over 100,000 miles:
- water pump 2x
- alternator 3x
- slave cylinder
- rear axle pinion seal and bearing
- starter (infant mortality)
- PS pressure hose 2x
- radiator
- ignition actuator 2x (aluminum thingie in steering column)
- fan clutch
- front rotors
The transmission is leaking from the top seal and I think the rear seal but I haven't done anything about it, probably won't now that there is a new kid on the block (6.0 Super Duty).
Mine had ~60K on the odo when I bought it, but it had a 2" hitch receiver that showed signs of heavy use, and the engine had already been rebuilt, so I know it was at least 160K if not 260K. I put another ~200K on that engine before it was shot, and then went to this '95 engine. It showed 80K on the truck I pulled it from (6-digit odo), and I've put at least 250K on it since, but maybe even 350K. I've lost track thru all the speedometer changes.
well the axles and tranny on mine are heading on 285000miles whith out a rebuild. My motor had 240000 on it before rebuilt it becouse it had a burnt valve.
