Only if you replaced your TTB setup with a straight axle, me personally no, i never got that far before my ol ford died, but i was headin that direction.
38's would be a little big for the axles on that. You might want to look into some stronger stuff. I usually will run a 33 on the 1/2 tons. If people what bigger tires then that, then its bigger axles. Just my personal thing. Thats why I got a 1 ton. Its all beefed to begin with.
Yea if you look in my pics you can see my old ford with the 33"s. Thats also the biggest tire id run on the TTB. If your willing to do a little fabbing, and get your hands dirty you can convert to straight axle with these 150s fairly easy, and the axle and stuff you would want isnt that pricey either. If your looking just to get this thing on the road quickly the truck as you described is around 6" up you could tuck 33"s under and have a beefy lookin rig..
Its has 35x12.50x15 pro comp m/t on it now.. It seems to have 4.10 gears or similar.. This is also just my play truck, i drive it to work(3.5 miles round trip) when there is salt on the roads, i have not took it muddin yet, but it wont be nothin real deep...
I am really just concerned about rubbing... But i want the 38x12.50x15s tsl.. I dont think it should rub since its not any wider, only three inches taller..
I am running 6 and 3 body on a 93 F-150, 36 swampers were close on front fender corners and bumpers like he said. 38s might be ok if you stay on the street.
My buddy has a 93 F-150 with a 2wd to Dana 44 SAS on it...9 inch suspension lift fitting 35 TSL's with some room...back of the fender was trimmed by PO but doesn't need it now or in a few weeks when he puts 40 TSL's on it.....Luck
