It appears the right rear brake on my 91 F250 is hanging up. I chec ked the E-brake cables and they are free. How can I fix this? It is "hot" to the touch after I drive it but the driver's side is not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I would guess that either your wheel cylinder has stuck or maybe you have a broken spring. First I would take it apart and look for obvious issues. If there are not obvious broken parts then check the cylinder, you should be able to push on both ends of the cylinder and it will compress somewhat easily (loosten the master cylinder fill cap first) If it moves freely just put it all back together with some antisieze on the areas where the shoes meet the backing plate and re-adjust the adjusting screw and antisieze the threads. Hopefully this will cure it for you.

If you put the E brake activator on the anchor pin upside down it can make the shoes drag when you hit the brakes and will not allow them to release right. Very easy to do, looks about the same either way but it is just a little different.
Double check to be sure it's one the right way, if nothing else flip it over and see if that helps.
