Temp Sensor
just inherited a '77 F100 Longbed, 87K, 300 I6. The engine runs great (gotta love that torque). The C4 went bad but that's another messageboard. The problem is the water temp gauge doesn't work and I can't find the %^$# temp sensor on this thing. Normally my wife finds everything else for me, but she wasn't any help here ( I think she needs a tune up - she's starting to miss a little)

You better hope she doesnt read you post or you may need all that torque to make a quick get away . The temp gauge sender is on the right side of the head , in back . It has a single wire connector . You ll have to drain a little coolant to replace it .

It should be on the left side of the block, under the intake/exhaust manifolds. It is placed there in case you want to change manifolds, you have a spot to rest them on (& break) when your tired. (Do I sound like I have been there before?)
