Check the computer for fault codes. Might be a bad range sensor but it could also be a slipping clutch although I don't have my E4OD clutch chart handy so I can't see if your symptoms point to any specific clutch failure. But depending how much you revved it trying to get it to move you might have just killed it anyway.

It wasn't in 4th, it was just slipping.

If there is no power to the shift solenoids it will do exactly what you are describing. There are two red wires from pins 37 and 57 on the EEC connector that supply power to the solenoids. I'll bet these wires do not have +12 volts.

Orielys said there's no power to the eec test to check the cel services it today same thing going on switched eec relays didn't changed anything so maybe the pcm or what was stated no power to the Dec which might make sense since there's no power to check the cel?

whats the specs on your truck? what is it?

9th gen under hood fuse box;

notice not just the relay but the fuses I and U.

as stated by Mark,you've got no power getting to your trans control unit.this is the reason for high gear starts.
if the truck is a 9th gen (92-97) then the od cancel light will be on all the time in this situation as well.though half it's normal brightness when od is canceled.

most often this is the fault.you can try trading the horn relay in and she will probably start right off in 1st again.

You might want to try this. Or you might want to go buy parts and install them. Your choice.

And you took a non-working horn relay and swapped it with a non-working computer relay. What did you expect to happen?

relay's are cheap lol.you can plug in a generic from the auto stores.just snap off the universal mount so the lid on the power dist box can still close.

might want to get under there and inspect your solenoid pack connector.
