i have to replace my broken valance. hopefully find one at a junk yard for my 99 xlt 4x4. when i do find one, should i go to ford for the new plastic screws that ill need and are there any hidden installation woes that i will encounter? thanks!

Front valances are pretty expensive, so when i ripped mine off on a hill, i left it off.
On the plus side with the valance gone part of the frame is exposed, making it the perfect place to stick a farm jack. But if its just a street truck you will probably be better off to put another valance on.
Unless your screws wont work, i wouldnt by new ones(probably pretty expensive)
what does this thing do anyway? why is it there?
everytime a friend of mine buy's a truck the
