Strange Front End Phenomenon F350 4x4

Hi All:

This strange issue has been bugging me ever since I got the ball joints done on my '97 F350 4x4 several months ago.

After the truck is good and warmed up, such as driving on the freeway for 10 miles or so, if I make a sharp turn it feels like the front hubs are engaged or something. The only other way I can describe it is the way a truck feels when running in 4x4 on concrete. You can feel it in the steering wheel. When the truck is cold, this sensation is non-existent.

The first time it happened, I got out and visually inspected the whole steering area and couldn't find anything out of whack.

The truck drives and handles fine and I've basically just ignored it with no apparent ill effects.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks!

Was it aligned after the ball joints were done? If it is trying to pull back straight when your turning, your caster may be way out..
