differential cover replacement

what is needed to replace the differential cover on a 2000 F 150 4x2

Another cover, gasket or some silicone, proper size hex wrench or socket, gear oil, pan for old oil, etc.

Also add some paper towels, a razor blade/scraper to remove the old silicone, and some brake cleaner to clean the sealing surface. It's pretty straight forward. You will need a rachet to remove the fill plug on the front side near the pinion.
