I have been getting an exhaust vibration for about a month now and it is driving me crazy!! I have been all up and down the exhaust bending back the heat shield and making sure it is not rubbing anywhere. I finally checked the downpipe and it is loose on the turbo. Is this normal? the clamp that holds the downpipe onto the turbo is tightened all the way but the exhaust is still loose. Does anyone know where I can get a new clamp or how to fix it? thanks
It is not just a regular exhaust clamp, and I cant just add another nut to it because that will not do anything. The clamp itself is tightened all the way but the exhaust still moves at the turbo. This clamp looks exactly like the one on there. Has anyone ever had to replace theirs?
Like I said, the stocker I could turn the Banjo clamp and there wasn't any soot. I would assume you want it as tight as you can get it, but I don't think it is a precision setup.
There is not soot build up around the clamp. It is like the clamp has stretched and is to big for the exhaust. I did not install the system, it came with the truck already. The clamp is installed so the bottom of the bolt where you would start the nut is facing the front of the truck. It seems like the exhaust should not be able to move with the clamp tight?
That is nuts! $50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we get the same thing at Fertilizer Dealer Supply for a couple! They are stainless and all that crap, I can't see any differences.
