Navigation Systems

I have been thinking about get a GPS Navigation system, The Tom Tom GPS One, 3rd edition. Has anyone used this and what do you think? Is there another brand that is better? The Garmin charges for map downloads where the Tom Tom is free. Any comments appreciated.

I have a Tom Tom One. For the price I think it does what it should. The interface is kinda of hard to navigate at first but once you learn it its not bad. The Garmin seems to have a better interface. Either one will do I have used both. The Tom Tom is slim has an sd slot and the battery life isn't to shabby.

Never used TomTom.

Garmins are nice.

The stereo head units with nav built in are real nice

I have one on my Laptop for work Microsoft streets and trips. the wifes Honda has one and she just ordered the Garmin for me for X-Mass. As you can see we love them...lol

Thanks for the comments. Need some type of alarm or kill switch but I am wanting
the navigation system instead. I guess I'll see what Santa brings then decide where
I want to spend my cash.
