Okay, here's the scoop. I've got a '06 F350 longbed. The bed is in great shape, no dents, dings ect. It's been Line-X'd too. I am considering swapping my bed out for a flat bed that is in really good shape except for some minor damage on the left rear corner. I can get this bed for $100.00. I figure to get the repair done, mounting hardware, fuel filler hose, mud flaps, turn signals ect. I'll be into it for about $500.00.
My question is what is my truck bed that I'm removing worth? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris
I run a bodyshop in Canada and we are buying these for about $1500-$1800 and selling to customers or insurance companies for around $2500 plus painting when a guy has a wreck. A selling feature for the insurance company or a joe blow is the liner. If it comes with it then he does not have to pay an extra $300 to paint the inner.
Go around to some of your larger autobodyshops I bet they will buy it from you for stock. It will sell fast if you have a large superduty base in your area.
