Another Glow Plug Circut Question
I have been working on the glow plugs on my Dad's 97 PSD. At first glance you would think that the relay was bad, but it bench tests just fine. The fact is that I am never getting a ground signal from the PCM to the relay. Now, logic would lead me to think that the PCM does not actually provide this ground, but in fact energizes a relay somewhere that creates this ground circut. What I am looking for is some conformation that my thinking is right, and some idea where I might find this relay at. If someone could listen to their pick-up during the key-on cycle and give me some hints as to where you hear the clicking coming from that would be great. If someone has a component locator for a 97 F250 PSD that would be even better. Thanks in advance.
