Got The Lean

Guys, I've got a '78 F150 (recently new to me) shortbox that leans to the drivers side. There's almost an 1.000" from side to side in the front and a 1.250" in the back when measuring from the floor to the center of the wheel well. Thought at first the front coil springs were the culprit so I replaced those this past weekend as well as most of the bushings on the front drivetrain. While that helped some, it did not fix the problem entirely.

I did a search on here and checked the common problem areas such as body mounts, cracked frame, leaf springs etc. I measured all of my body mounts and the worst descrepency I could find was about a 1/4" (from side to side) for the back cab mounts. Everything else was dang near dead nuts or no more then an 1/8" difference. So I think I can rule out that possibility.

I then did a thorough search for cracks on the frame and motor mounts. Couldn't find anything there either. Haven't ruled this possibility out entirely but as clean as this truck is, it's hard for me to believe the frame is horked up. But I've been wrong before LOL!

So that leaves the leaf springs. I checked for cracks on the springs themselves but couldn't find anything obvious. Guess I'm curious if the leaf springs were truly bad (or just one side), could they really throw off the front end that far? I do know my back end measurement is off (from side to side) about a .250" more then the front so I can't help but wonder if this is a legitimate possibility.

Any thoughts or opinions from those that have been through this would be much appreciated.
