91 f250 front tank problem

91 f250 front tank problem

My 91's front tank is full of fuel but does not work, the rear tank works fine. would that be a low-pressure fuel pump or what else could it be?

You do not have a low-pressure pump, you have two hi-pressure pumps one in each tank. It does sound like your front hi- pressure pump is bad.

Will the truck run or is the Guage not working. My float was bad.

If you take a dead blow hammer and bang on the bottom of the tank, unless you have the skid plate under it, sometimes you can get it to work. Run the tank empty if you do get it to run. Will make taking it out alot easier.

sorry for the hijack but mine front tank works fine but the when i flip it to the front tank the gauge goes to empty, even thou it is full, but the tank works fine

also how big is the front tank and how big is the rear tank? i think the rear is 15 gallons? and the front 20 gallons ?

There are a few different sizes. Book says 15.4 for both but I know my back is 18 caus i put like 17 into it once. Front comes in 15.4 or 19. You will know if you look. The 19 is longer then the 15.4. Im not so sure about the back.
