code P 1248
My 2000 excursion PSD got a service engine soon light yesterday while my wife was driving in town, The code it give me was P 1248. Dose anyone know what this code is and what it means? Thanks

My book says its "waste gate not detected". If you've got some miles on it and upgraded the exaust, chip, intake your waste gate will sort of blow open. A new waste gate from Banks or BD, ect. will cure this problem. Your turbo won't spool up very well either, maybe thats why you it can be said that the "turbo boost not detected", R & R wastegate actuator. I had this problem and a BD waste gate cured the problem.
