Block Heater

Is a block heater optional equipment on my 2002 PSD? I just moved from South Georgia to West Virginia. The weather's a little colder here and I've never had to even think about plugging up my truck in the winter until now. To be honest, I haven't really searched that hard for my heater cord, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have one. If it is an add on, has anybody out there added one? Where can I get a kit and how expensive is it? Thanks

Im just throwing this out there from what i have hear but - Everyones truck comes equipped with a block heater, but not all come with the cord to plug it in. Its around $30 from the dealer i think. Im sure someone else can shed some light up this. Or search for old threads, there is a ton of them

Y'all rock! After a brief search, Jed's a millionaire. I found the plug tucked in nice and neat behind the driver's side fog light, just where the factory stuck it. Thanks!

My 182k mile 2000 F350 PSD plow truck starts up fine all winter here in Ma. without using the block heater, and it gets into the single digits.(it was 20 today) I let it warm up for 15-20 minutes and off I go! What a tank!
