My New Hitch :)

Well the 04 X back to before accident condition well now that I think of it its better than before the accident. We went down on Friday. to go get our new hitch put on. We got a Eckhart Hitch the only one I could find for the Excursion. It is rated for unlimited weight and thats what the guy told us here are some pic of the hitch and the trip.

and here are some random pics of the trip.

All the old hitches they took off

The 08 mirrors shadow at 7.00 am

And on the way home we came so close to running out of Diesel. We missed a sign that said no gas next 35 Mi. We came into that Pilot gas station on fumes

I like the hitch.. as for the low miles, we have run over 25 -30 miles past the 0 miles on the lie o meter. I really just paid attention to the miles driven. Since we drive about 65,000 - 75,000 miles a year I have gotten pretty used to the fuel consumption in various conditions.

I've had y truck down to 40 miles till empty on the lie o meter and it only takes about 37 gallons to top it off. So it "SHOULD" make it a lil past past 0, but your fuel pump will hate you!

I have taken my '02 V-10 about 50 miles past the 0 miles to empty while pulling a 24' toyhauler that I usually average about 7.5 mpg while towing... I put 40 gallons of fuel back in it. But I thought I had a 34 gallon fuel cell..??
