i got a 352 in my 66' and i put a 390 4 barrel intake manifold on it, and i was wondering what size of cam kit i should get to make up for the fuel difference? it originally had a 2 barrel manifold on it?
Cart before the horse...you have to pull all the intake back off to install a cam. The pushrods go through the intake on the FE. and need to be out to remove the lifters.
For a 352 it will wake up with a car pattern 352 390 cam from the mid sixties and a dual roller timing chain. Unless you want lopey idle then your 352 is not the best choice, as additional mods need to be made in the valve springs porting and such.....
Dont over carb the 352 either. A 500 CFM to 600 CFM carb is way more than enough.
They used the same heads C5ae's low risers, some cars....But a four barrel was only offered in cars with a car profile cam. the truck cams are different to make bottom end torque.
60 or 61 starliners had the factory hi po 352 360 horse, but these are real rare.
