I just went to the dealership and had my oil changed and they asked me if I had been to Canada with my truck yet, and after I told them no they said that Super Dutys were getting stolen left and right up there and the police don't even bother investigating the crime. I was told that one American was told that he had better head back to America before he got hurt. Anyone else hear things like this?

It is a very hot item in Calgary and Edmonton. Lots of people leaving them idling outside malls etc., and away they go. It is in the papers on a weekly basis. Have to get a bigger and meaner dog I guess. He works well.

According to the owners manual we aren't supposed to let the trucks idle in cold weather for long periods of time because the idle cannot keep the engine to operating temperature and it will create carbon build up on the valves or something like that, so I doubt anybody up there would let their trucks idle. I heard it was people in unmarked tow trucks going around and towing away the super duties<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

You should see the amount of people up here that let diesels idle. I am not one to talk because I usually will let my truck idle for 10-15 min before I leave for work in the morning(winter only), even though I know it is not good for them. There are alot of diesels that are just a family vehicle(not used for work/hauling one bit). Alot driven by women(not trying to be rude), but they are laft running or fired back up(remote starts) when going into grocery stores or Wal-mart. Again i'm not trying to be rude to anyone(I do it too), just pointing out how much it is actually done.

a new complaint from me. while in Ky., the four wheel drive became stuck and had to drive too dealership to get it out of 4x4. now a grinding noise is present when shifting into 4x4. next thing is it's leaking oil from the crankshaft pulley area. not a lot of oil but the oil pan and front of the engine is wet from oil.

Sorry Man, I still am having problems! Ford customer care has not returned my calls
I think they are being bombarded My fuel milage is still 11. down from 15.8 and it sill has no power to speak of. the 4x4 seems to have ground itself into place it is not making noise like it did.but I can imagine what the lube looks like. I have alot of regens and a high idle problem. I could keep going but people don't want to hear it

by florida law, 3 attempts to repair the same problem and 1 final repair attempt constitutes the use of the florida lemon law. ford had 4 attempts and 1 final attempt. i'm trying the lemon law, the better business bereau, and contacting ford directly which has been going on for the better part of 2 months. i haven't gotten a response from ford which is really starting to **** me off! lemon law won't do anything until ford contacts them. i need an arbitration hearing through the bbb and ford needs to contact them to set up the hearing. i've sent certified letters to ford but still no response. it really sucks!

Contact your States Attorney. I have had to contact the Vermont State's Attorney twice for seperarate and different reasons and both times I received immediate satisfaction. The first time was when I was trying to draw money from a pension to purchase a house, and I think the second only involved the threat of contacting my States Attorney but for the life of me I cannot remember why. Anyways, contact your State's Attorney and you'll be surprised at how fast things can get done. Good luck.

This is why Toyota just took over as #2 auto maker! Ford Superdutys are sitting on lots here. What a shame. I think I am going to call Fox 2 news from detroit they just did a big storie on why ford is falling. I have been the biggest fan of the superduty till now.

Lemon Law

Call your state Attorney General for Lemon Law info. In Washington State it used to be it had to be in the shop for 2 safety defects of 3 other defects and the manufacturer had to take it back. I had a problem with a T Bird I bought in '93 and the regional service manager in charge of the dealer I purchased the car from gave me a 5 year bumper to bumper. Keep after them! You have to be the absolute biggest thorn in their side or they will do nothing....Good Luck
