Anyone?! Would this work on the v10 EX? Would HP and MPG differ? How about the sound?
That set up would work on any vehicle. I don't know about MPG, but these are designed to to get maximum HP. This is of course not meant for around the town driving. It would be very loud, stright off the a set of headers, or even stock manifolds? Fire shooting load, get the picture.
It will scare the hell out of folks, that's for sure.
I ran non-e cutouts on my muchly modified 460 at the dragstrip several years ago...couldn't hear myself think! Not to mention that in PA they're illegal for inspection (but what isn't?).
I think for the prices they're asking, I'd buy the cheap cutouts, uncap 'em myself, and use the other couple hundred dollars for other mods.
My buddy has one on his trans am, they work well and the DMH is the better brand on the market right now. Takes about 6-8 seconds to fully open. A trick is to take some black RTV and smear a lil on the sealing edges to help make sure you get a good seal. They seal pretty well on their own but after time they tend to leak a lil and the rtv helps quite a bit. I'll be running 2 on my new setup in my camaro.
