Hi everyone new member here,
I have a performance question, I have a 2000 F-150 s/c 4x4 off-road with the 5.4L (love it!!!)I am looking to make some performance upgrades. I was wondering what upgrades and products work for you? All suggestions welcome and the more the better! The only thing that is not stock is the air filter (K&N) but I' looking to replace it w/ the filter charger system generation II. Thank you in advance!!!

I've done most of the affordable upgrades. K&N filter charger, tuner chip, less restrictive exhaust and throttle body spacer. I think I could take them all off and not notice much difference (except for the sound). To be honest, next time I'll just save my money and get a supercharger. It's the only way to get a noticeable power boost on late model motors.

My recommendation would be to start with a performance chip -- I own a Superchip and love it. While it will certainly not turn your truck into a Lightning, it will provide a noticable power increase along with better shifting. I also own a K&N FIPK and Ravin Z-55 exhaust. While I believe they also add some power, it was not as noticible as the chip...
