I've owned about 32+ cars so far and I finally got my first truck. I ended up getting a Ford due to the front suspension and the international diesel option.
I went with a dirt cheap worn out 1985 F-250 XLT Ext. cab 4 speed.
The power brake booster isn't working and the steering is "loose as a goose".
I have no problem diagnosing the problem on the brakes, its either the vacuum pump or the booster (nothing a vacuum gauge won't tell me). But the steering, I'm noticing a few parts. "Drag Link Assembly" which are more expensive than the other parts. I'm hoping to just change out some idler/pitman (if it has those, I've never worked on one of these before) and tie rod ends and hope it makes a good enough improvement. It has a gooseneck hitch and a 2'' reciever, which will make working easy with it.
