I have a 2000 Ex and power door locks will not lock automatically when I put in
drive and drive off. I am assuming that this truck does come with that feature.
please help
My ex is an 05 so the manual is for a 05. The information is on pages 92 and 93 in the locks and Security section.

1-7 steps that must be completed in 30 seconds
1 turn ikey in ignition to ON ( #4 )position.
2 press power door unlock 3 times
3 turn ignition to the off ( #3) position.
4. press power door unlock 3 times.
5. turn ignition back to ON, horn should chirp
6. pess unlock control then push the lock control. Horn should chirp once for deactivate or twice for reactivate auto lock.
7. turn ingnition OFF horn should chirp again to indicate procedure comptete.
remember all the above in 30 seconds or you have to wait 30 seconds to try again.

I don't think this was an available option in 2000. I have looked all through my manual and it says nothing about automatic door locks. Funny thing is when I got my first Expedition the automatic locks annoyed me, now I miss them on my Excursion.
