If i cut the muffler off and then just ran a pipe out the stock location would i still have enough back pressure. Just wondering because i have heard of people doing this and losing power and low end torque because they didnt have enough backpressure. What if i cut off the muffler and slit it with a y and then out the back. how would it sound.

Yes you will have enough backpressure if you cut off just the muffler.

I cut my muffler and second catalitic converter off a while ago.
I noticed it lugged at lower rpms but when i put it to the floor it was great. I recently put the muffler back on and left off the catalitic converter and discovered that is a better way to go, quieter and more power.

Backpressure never helps power, low end or high. What happens when someone cuts off their muffler and loses power is that they have destroyed whatever tuning effect the stock pipe had (all of which should be happening between the port and the first cat), thereby reducing the scavenging effect.
