Hello everyone,
I have posted this question here and in the navigation, stereos, etc forums. I thought it might get more views, and more of a chance for answers here however. Okay, so I have did the search thing and now I am more confused then before. My dad has a 2003 F350 with the factory in dash 6 disc radio. I have found out that with a P.I.E. adapter I will be able to hardwire in an XM radio. One poster that has installed this adapter said that it worked and the factory radio even remembered his last XM station. With this in mind does that mean you can change the XM stations and what not with the factory radio? Or do you still have to do all that with the XM receiver. I would like to get the XM for my parents for Christmas, but I know they want to be able to control it from the factory radio if at all possible.

no the PIE adapter only lets you have a direct connection when before you needed to tune into a radio station to pick up the XM signal, now with the PIE you press AUX and it brings in the XM signal without all the static and in CD quality. But all controls are going to be on the XM reciever and not the stereo. Only with Sirius can you control the stations on the radio but you need the factory stuff to do it.
