Need help with Alpine

I aquired a Alpine 7162 tape deck. I need help with wiring.

Wires are as follows

red
brown
yellow
green/white stripe X2
green/yellow stripe X2
gray/white stripe X2
Gray yellow stripe X2

Now common wiring says that yellow is memory Red is hot and black is ground. Well appearntly that does not apply here as there is no black wire.

You are guys are alot of help(/sarcasm) another reason I'm not going to waste money on a membership. Everytime one of the hard questions come along no one has the answer. Of course the easy questions come along everyone jumps on with a smart a** answer.

Did you ever think the radio is not from the US?

Some foreign makes use Brown as ground...

There was no point in your second post at all. Would you have been able to answer the question if it was asked by someone else?...No...so others might not know either. And your common wiring theory only goes back as far as they have had "universal" wiring colors for aftermarket radios. Which leads me to believe the radio may have been in a foreign made car. You gave the thread 26hrs and started having a hissy for no reason. You could always try posting at an Audio related forum as well..

...You could always buy a manual.
