ive talked bout getting 456 gears and i had another question before i sat into buying them. Do these gears help with the fuel mileage in and around town. I do alot of 30-35mph driving and 40-45mph as well. Will these new gears improve my fuel mileage?
I have had at least 2 customers put 4.56 in their lowered F150s on stock size tires, with a great increase in performance, a small increase in city driving, and hardly any difference in highway driving. On tires as big as yours, I would do at least 4.56 gears. Keep in mind though it will be expensive since you are 4wd

With tires of those size, a swap to 4.56s will turn the truck into a completely different beast! You will gain back the mechanical advantage lost when you moved up in tire size. This will translate to your truck not having to work as hard to spin 'em. As for gas mileage, it should be better than what you are getting now with the stock gearing and those heavy meats, but I doubt you will make it back to exactly the factory ratings.
I have always found 4.10s are good for 33s, 4.30+ for 35s. He certainly could have used 4.10s, but the greater the mechanical advantage, the easier time the truck will have turning those heavy tires.
If he's doing mostly city driving I wouldn't shy from 4.56s, but you need to keep in mind that this is a permanant upgrade. Next time you wanna go 75 down the highway I'll bet you notice the difference a whole bunch, but that's not so much of a jump that you won't be able to.
I realize the diffs are larger than that of the H3 but a word of caution if going off road going from say 373 to 456 your teeth are thinner/weaker and youve gained torque/lowend power. When I had an H3 that comes standard 4.56 myself and others have gone through several diffs while off road all with only 220 lbs of torque from the little 5 cylinder versus what the big V8 puts out if your not carefull you could find yourself stranded.
