Alternator concern?????

Ok, just went to the boneyard and got an electric fan, and I ordered an electric water pump...... My question is this...will I need to get a higher amperage alternator before I install this junk, I am running a stock one on my 302, and I dont want the thing to go poop every time I turn on the lights or wipers...... or is it even a concern that I should worry about?

and to clarify...... the fan draws about 6 amps, and the water pump about 9 amps....and my distro is a 71 amp model

It should be fine, if it breaks.........you needed to replace it anyway

My philosophy exactly Mr. Pederson..... I also like the "if it aint broke, fix it till it is" strategy, that way I can get my wife to approve of me buying new parts.
