Gear change Speedo Off.

Hello, here we go. I changed the gears in my 1992 F250, 4X4, with E4OD. 5.8L. Changed from 3.55 to 4.10. The speedo is off. don't know how much. I checked with my local Dealer and they said both the speed senser gear and the gear in the transfer case are the same. does any one have any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help.

A gear change should not affect the speedometer calibration on that year truck with the electronic speedometer/odometer, but changing tire size will throw off the accuracy. There's a way to reprogram the PSOM (programmable speedometer odometer module I believe is what it stands for) for the new tire size, but I don't know the exact procedure. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
