transfer case in an '87 ?

quick question...
considering an '87 parts truck, 4wd F350 crew cab, sight unseen but think it has a C6 in it.
will the '87 transfer case bolt up to a '90 E4OD transmission from a 2wd?

The short answer is no. The long answer is yes. confused? You would need to take aprt the 2wd tranny put in a short tailshaft and then get the t case adapter.

I'll be an expert when I'm done this project. I have this freshly rebuilt E4OD and I'm gonna find a place to put it no matter how much it costs !!!

all you need is the adapter housing for an E4OD and the 4X4 output shaft for the trans however the transmission will have to be completely disassembled to change the shaft
