its not a boost leak, when I get on the throttle the hissing goeas away, its under light throttle, its deffinatley the EBPV...and I dont know why it would be stuck, in the summer its never on
FWIW when mine stuck partially shut, it was middle of June. Seemed to happen all at once. I also had quite a bit of white smoke, both at idle and mild throttle.
Are you only getting the hissing when the engine is cold and at light throttle or does it happen even after the engine warms up? Sorry for all thwe questions - just trying to vision the situation better.
even when its warm, if it did it while it was cold I could handle it, but when Ive been driving for an hour at highway speeds and then go slow thru town and it starts doin it and I have no throttle response it makes me mad....and if it is stuck shut then what?
Yeah crackhead, check the plug thats at the front of the turbo pedestal below and between the front of the two turbo housings. It's probably still plugged in.
the plug you pull should be just above the blue dot in this pic..just under the turbo...it has a wire clip that locks the plug in place..flip the clip back and pull the plug out..
so as much as I'd hate to say it, I infact did unplug the wrong thing
ha I unplugged the connection on the ypipe the first time. Im going to blame it on the fact that I unplugged my buddies OBS earlier this year and so I assumed mine was in the open like that....now you guys are gonna thin im actually smokin crack....
