Trouble code P0171????

My check engine light came on so I plugged in my aeroforce scan tool and it came up with code P0171. I researched what this was and it said:

Fuel system at adaptive limit, HEGO unable to switch (right side)

What does this mean, should I be worried and how can I fix it?
Please help!!!!!
Thanks, Shane

Since no one else chimed in here's my guess, but keep in mind I have an 88 and know NOTHING about your emissions system. Since HEGO refers to your O2 sensor I'm thinking that your truck is new enough to have one sensor on each side of your exhaust. If that is the case the code is probably saying one of the sensors is no longer sending back to the EEC. Since these things are expensive, and assuming that you have two of them, I would suggest you swap them out and see if you start to get a left side code. If so then there's your problem. Otherwise I'm at a loss except to say that until you fix it the only issue should be a crappy fuel mixture, probably on the rich side. Good luck and I hope this helped. Take it easy.
