hwat are you putting it in a efi 302 or a carb 302? if it is an efi , im not sure about this but i think the distributor has to have a different bushing because of the roller cam. i think an efi has a steel bushing and the carb has a brass bushing or vise versa. any way the wrong bushing could cause damage. and yes i would buy it if its an pgrade from what you have now.

I am carbed...... but yes it is an upgrade, i have a duraspark now, but the coil is more powerful on this one, plus it is top mounted and cleans up my look, I have an elevtric water pump and fan also, so I would like the performance as well as the look.... Thanks for the opinion, and advice

I do not believe you will see any difference in performance, unless the dist you have now is wore out. But for cleaning up the wiring, it's hard to beat the HEI.
