I am still at work but my wife is at home and called and said our Excursion won't start. Its an 02. We bought it used so IDK how old the batteries are.

Like med stated, more info. To your question, yes, one weak battery will cause a no start. If you determine that to be your problem, do yourself a favor and change both. Never a good idea to only change one. Don't know about the ck console light.
Well since you are at work and she is at home.....Maybe she said the Check engine light on the console is on? If it is turning over weak or not at all...what they said...batteries...and replace both.
Turned out the one battery terminal was corroded. I cleaned it is bakeing soda and jumped it and got it started. I took it to autozone. They do free battery testing. They tested it and it said both are good. I bought the cleaner and protector sprays and cleaned all 4 terminals really good.
With the motor off they tested for the combined CCAs. It works for me for the time. I bought it used so IDK how old they are. I guess if I have trouble in the future I will have them tested seperate.
