Information on Tires

For those who live in the snowbound areas I would like to know how many people are having trouble finding snow tires for the new trucks. Ford is installing really odd sizes and we have found it difficult. We have some sizes available but not all. Just looking for feedback.

Last year we had a problem with Lt275/70r18 snows. The oe Conti trac Tr's on the F350's are poor in the snow. This year, several companies make a studdable snow, but you had to feel sorry for the guys who bought those trucks the first year and had to slide around the first winter. Try telling the customer who just bought a $50K 4x4 that he can't get around in the white stuff. I agree with the monoply comment. The new sizes lock the consumer into the OE tires untill the other manufacturers respond.

Ive heard that comment a million times. "what do you mean I can use this truck in the winter?"

We were putting guys into 285/65r18 BFG KO's for the longest while, it was the only thing we could get our hands on! A tad shorter, but not enough to notice!
